In the heart of this land, there was a time not long ago when the earth would thunder and shake,  And sing with the beat of a million hooves Strength could be felt down to your bones through your spirit, echoing the truth of unity and family
The bison taught our chiefs and leaders  The strength in coming together  Flowing in unison over the land,  Like a society of people,  United in caring for mother earth and each other
Those days are gone, The bison don’t shake the land and thunder the truth  For us anymore It's now up to us to teach and practice this truth  To thunder our voices  And dance in celebration of our strength in coming together So all can witness and learn the strength and harmony  That is found in the heart of this land
